What to check first
- Your BSLBATT battery has RJ45 communication ports (CAN and RS485).
- One of them is free, or you can use the free end of a battery-to-battery chain.
- USB power and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at the battery.
1. Choose the port
Your inverter is usually connected to the CAN port. Keep it that way. Connect the box to a free RS485 port. Unsure which one is free? Send us a photo of the port panel and we will tell you.
2. Check the addresses
With several batteries, each has an address (DIP switches). Note them for the box settings.
3. Connect
Run the supplied RJ45 cable from the battery port to the box. Power the box with USB-C. The screen starts.
Communication port only. Do not connect anything to the battery power terminals.
4. Wi-Fi
Join the box’s setup network from your phone, choose your home Wi-Fi, set your dashboard password.
5. First data
Open http://moniwatt.local. Enter the number of batteries if you have more than one. Values appear in seconds.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing shows: check the port is RS485 and the address is listed.
- Inverter warns about communication after connecting: unplug and write to us with your inverter model.
