How it connects
Add your MQTT broker address and credentials in MoniWatt for BSLBATT. Home Assistant discovers the device and creates the sensors automatically.

Why read the battery and not only the inverter?
Victron, SMA and other inverters already expose a battery SOC to Home Assistant. That figure is what the battery sent to the inverter. MoniWatt for BSLBATT adds what the inverter never forwards: cell voltages, temperatures inside the pack, health and the battery’s own alarms.
Automation ideas
- Charge the EV only when the house battery is above 80%.
- Warn if the cell delta keeps growing over a month.
- Lower heating in the technical room when the battery runs warm in summer.
